Inspecting and recording the condition of an existing building

Build Assure Consultants can carry out an inspection and provide a Dilapidation Report on the condition of a property at a given point in time. This records any existing damage and the condition of any particular aspect of a property (within a building site, adjacent or nearby property) that may be affected by construction work, excavation, or demolition. Our inspection report will serve as an accurate record of the condition of the property prior to works commencing as a point of reference.

In the event that damage is caused during the construction works, the Dilapidation report can be examined. If needed, a second dilapidation inspection can be carried out so that ‘before’ and ‘after’ evidence of the condition of a property can be accurately compared in assessments by independent experts. Dilapidation Reports can be conducted on brand new homes, older homes, and retail, commercial, and industrial properties; as well as other man-made structures such as roads, bridges, pavements, etc.
